The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Leo Peltomaki can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Tracy (McLaughlin)Lamb
Condolence: My condolences to the entire family. Mr. Peltimaki remains one of the teachers that truly touched us all who were privileged to be in class with him. But most noteably, he lead us musically to experiences that many of us would never had had if not for his passion and dedication. Thank you for sharing him with so many-it was truly a privilege.

Condolence: Pat, Rick (Adam), Cheryl (Scott) & family:
It's so very hard to sum up in a few words exactly what Leo meant to not only his family but to the whole community (former students, volunteers, etc.) He was so personable, talented, extraordinary, a genuine gentleman. Your many, many memories and the love of family & friends will help you all through this difficult time. May we offer to you our most sincere condolences.

Condolence From: Dick/Marnie Smyth
Condolence: Like everybody else, Marnie and I were shocked to learn of Leo's sudden death. We used to enjoy chatting with him during our weekly lunch at R&L.
On the good side, he lived longer than most and did not wither away as so many do. He will be missed by us and many others.

Condolence From: June Kingshott
Condolence: Only just today, April 14, did I learn of Leo's death in the Bracebridge Examiner with the invitation to join the Clebration of Life on April 23. I will do my best to attend because I have fond memories of Leo with his ready smile and cheeky wit. Going to R&L's for the usual delicious food just won't ever be the same again.

Condolence From: Gary and Grace Denniss
Condolence: Memories go back to Baysville public School days when the "school with the band" outshone us all!! At the dances in Baysville, Leo played with my Dad and mom sometimes. Thirdly, I spent several years as Leo's teaching colleague at BPS and watched the children grow up. Then there he was in that awesome little restaurant...R&L's with Mom on board as well. Leo never failed to come and chat with Grace and I as he knew us. We appreciated him and your family. Yes, this is a shock, but your memories of a very special man husband, father and grandfather will always be with you. Peace be with you. Gary and Grace
