Alberta (Bert) Jessie Reid --nee Anderson: November 13, 1919 -January 26, 2017 With deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of Alberta Reid. She leaves to mourn and will be deeply missed and most lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carol (Bill) Boaks, granddaughter, Linden(Mike) Schneider, great-grandmother (GG) to Max; and by her extended family; niece, Judy(Jack) McPhee, their children, J.C., Julie, Lloyd, Holly and Charles, nephew, Charles (Louise) Locke and their children, Kim and Robin. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Reid in 1994 and her birth family-parents, Jack and Jessie Anderson, sisters Delma and Edith and her brother, Ken. Alberta was born in Coronation, AB. and passed away January 26, 2017 at her home in Bracebridge, ON. She experienced pioneer life in Coronation and it's surrounds. Her "tomboyish" ways especially climbing trees was remembered by classmates, 70 years later. She and her husband moved many times across Canada, making many friends. Keeping up with the news, reading "The Toronto Star", doing the daily crosswords and enjoying her garden kept her pleasantly occupied over the years as well as with family events and visits with friends. A special thank you to Dr. Ken Hotson and Susan, CCAC and to her wonderful caregivers, ---- for many years of exceptional care. A "Celebration of Life" graveside service will take place in April in Newmarket, ON. Arrangement by Reynold's Funeral Home. If desired, in memory of Alberta, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
