Allan Joseph Quinton

1938-2024

Peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Allan Joseph Quinton age 86 went home to be with the Lord. He will be missed by his wife Vaughan (nee: Amey) and children Wendy (John) Mencel, and Scott Quinton. Treasured Papa to Angus, Olivia, and Abby Murray. Predeceased by his parents Marion and Joseph Quinton. Born in 1938 on the Quinton Farm, Allan was the eldest of three boys, he will be missed by brothers Howard (Anne) and Lloyd (Beth) and his many nieces and nephews.

Al trained as a butcher with Stephen's Butcher Shop before working as a sales representative with Schneider's Meats. His jobs took him to Barrie, London, and Sarnia. He was involved with the Kinsmen, Bright's Grove Optimists, and was known for helping anyone who was in need.

His heart was always in Muskoka and when he retired, he and Vaughan built their dream home on Three Mile Lake. For 23 years he enjoyed being close to his brothers and other family members. As well as enjoying the beauty of the area.

There will be a private family graveside service on November 9, 2024. All are welcome to a lunch at Raymond Hall in Utterson on November 9, 2024, from 2 pm - 4 pm where we will toast and share stories of Al. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Christ Church Windermere or Andy's House Hospice. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
