Allen Aitken

In loving memory of Allen Aitken, 76 years, who passed away Saturday May 6, 2017 at Hospice Huntsville, amidst laughter and tears with his family by his side. Husband, best friend and companion for 54 years to Sheila. Loving son of Fred and Florence Aitken (predeceased). Cherished father of Cynthia (Jeff), Fred, and Janice (Serge). Inspirational grandfather and friend to 8 dearly loved grandchildren, Erin, Christopher, Julia, Jennifer, Nathalie, Ethan, Alain and Evan, who were all special in his heart. Born and raised in Windermere, Allen worked hard, played often, loved to laugh, always saw the good in any situation and never missed an opportunity to help others. He had an infectious smile, a kind heart, a twinkle in his eye, and a wonderful sense of humour. Throughout his life and travels he met many and always took the time to get to know someone new. Thank you to family and friends for your support, a special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at CCAC and Hospice Huntsville for all of your compassionate care of Allen. Allen's Celebration of Life will be held at the Raymond Hall on May 20, 2017 from 1 - 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice Huntsville or the Ontario SPCA Muskoka Branch.
