Audrey Armstrong

April 4, 1925 — September 16, 2012

Audrey Grace Armstrong (nee Beer) Mom is free at last-free from the Alzheimer's disease that took over 13 years to eventually consume this good woman. Audrey was born on Clinton Street in Toronto in 1925 and married Gordon Chesley Armstrong, the love of her live, in 1943. She is survived by her four children: Lyn Everingham (Christopher) of Port Carling; Ronald Armstrong of Severn Bridge; Shirley Woods (David) of Sutton West and Cathryn Cuffe of Barrie. She leaves five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. After Audrey and Gordon moved to Richmond Hill and their children grew older, she became the secretary at St. Mary's Anglican Church and then worked for Henry Birks for 15 years, before they retired to Collingwood. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Audrey's life will take place at a later date. We would like to suggest memorial donations to The Pines in Bracebridge where Mom received the excellent care she needed to navigate these last years with dignity.
