Fitzmaurice, Barbara (nee Smith) Former Office Administrator with All Lift (Scarborough) Ltd. Died on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 64 at the Scarborough General Hospital in Toronto, after a brief but courageous fight with cancer. Barb and her loving husband Patrick were married for 44 years. While they made their home in Scarborough they raised two devoted sons; Stephen of Spartanburg S.C. and his wife Kim Purdy and Marcel of Woodstock and his partner Brenda Hemsley. Her delight and love for her grandchildren was always evident, Georgina, Joanna, Cassidy, Nolan and Sandra Fitzmaurice will miss her warmth and caring ways. Barb is the daughter of the late Grant and Bertha Smith. She is also predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Velma Wagg, Keith Smith, Greta Dinsmore and Mervin Smith. Barb will be remembered by her sisters and brothers-in-law and also by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge on Thursday, November 7th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. during the evening visitation at the Chapel. The Mass will be said at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Bracebridge on Friday, November 8th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. As your expression of memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
