MYERS, Catherine Bernadette Deeply missed is a wife, mother and grandmother, Bernadette Myers of Port Carling who passed away February 13, 2009 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge.Friends will be received at Reynolds Funeral Home ‘Turner Chapel', 1 Mary St., Bracebridge, (www.reynoldsfuneral.com) on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 118 McMurray St., Bracebridge on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Victoria Road, ON will follow at 2:00 p.m. Donations to Hospice Muskoka would be appreciated. Bernadette was born May 3, 1939 to Wilfred and Kathleen Burke of Carden Township. Bernadette was married for 47 years to her loving husband Douglas Myers of Port Carling. She was a proud mother of six children, Andrew Myers, Kelly (Myers) Jarvis, Catherine (Myers) Cote, Christine (Myers) Simson, Maureen (Myers) Hines, and Monica (Myers) Mayer. She was also a proud grandmother of fifteen, Kylie Myers, Andrew , Nicole and Eric Jarvis, Luke, Elizabeth and Megan Cote, Frank, Derek, and Jared Simson, Aidan and Emma Hines, and Zachary, Kayla, and Alyssa Mayer. Bernadette's life was all about family, she was one of 9 children who grew up in Carden township in a home surrounded with lots of love. She is survived by her three siblings, Marie McConville, Reverend Bartholomew Burke, and Tom Burke.Bernadette lived for her children and grandchildren. Each of her children and grandchildren had a special piece of her heart and she will always have a special place in their hearts. Grandma especially loved the holidays as it meant all of her family would be together. She had a passion for berry picking and baking - especially her famous butter tarts. She was a very devoted caregiver both in her 35 year profession as a nurse and for her family. My wife, my mother, my grandmother, always a friend. You will be deeply missed forever but never forgotten. We love you with all of our hearts!
