Kennedy, Betty Lou (nee Ross)

Passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital at the age of 92.  Dearly loved wife of the late Nels Kennedy who were married for 59 years.  Betty was predeceased by her siblings Esther Ross, Evelyn Temeles, Shirley Muir, Marjorie Ross and survived by several nieces and nephews.  She leaves behind her close friend Pat and will be missed by many friends.

Following Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal gathering will take place.

Betty graduated from Ryerson College in 1949 in nursing.  She worked at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital for 38 years and retired in 1991.  Betty loved to go to the casino, attend luncheons and bazaars and enjoyed baking and giving her baked goods away.  She was a generous person and will be greatly missed.
