Carl Orval Dawson died peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Audrey Dawson (nee Thrift) for 63 years. Dear father of Rhonda (Murray) Taylor, Alan (Charlene) Dawson and Janet (Greg) Readman all of Bracebridge. Loving grandfather of Jeremy (Sheila), Pamela (Justin), Andrew (Kelly), Amber (Darrin), Christopher, Alan (Stephanie), Katherine (Christopher) and the late Bradley. Great grandfather of Samuel, Alice, Tycho, Sonya, Savannah, Brody, Nate, Hayleighanna, Lloyd, Jocelyn, Grace, Ailyn, Aryanna and Dominic. Dear brother of the late Eva Cousins.Carl was an avid outdoors man, craftsman, jack of all trades. Many people were the recipients of his practical jokes. He was willing to give anyone a hand. The family will receive friends at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" in Bracebridge on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, September 29th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery.
