Carol Anne Lepsoe

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Carol Anne LEPSOE (née Kennedy), who passed away peacefully at Granite Ridge Retirement Residence in Gravenhurst, Ontario on September 8th, 2024, at age 85. Cherished wife of her late husband’s William Lawrence “Larry” Papiz (d. 1990) and Johan “John” Friele Lepsoe (d. 2013). Beloved mother to Diane Lynn Papiz and her spouse Christopher Joseph Subich. Dear sister to Grant & Vernon Kennedy and their respective wives Penny & Harriet.

Carol lived a full and engaging life with a successful nursing career, many good friends, and a number of diverse interests. She was also a respected member of St. David’s Presbyterian Church and an active participant in the vibrant community of Vankoughnet, Ontario. Her vivacious personality and caring heart will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at Reynolds Funeral Home in Bracebridge on Monday, September 16th from 2–4pm. There will be a service of remembrance at St. David’s Presbyterian Church in Vankoughnet on Tuesday, September 17th at 11am, followed by a reception at the Village Square in Vankougnet from 1–3pm.

Our deepest thanks to the excellent staff of both The Manor at Gravenhurst and the retirement residence of Granite Ridge, who cared for Carol in her later years. Carol will be laid to rest beside her first husband, William Lawrence “Larry,” at Woodhouse United Church near Port Dover, Ontario.
