Clarie Mary Macdonald October 20, 1916 ~ March 16, 2016 Passed away peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, Ontario at the age of 99. Clarie is survived by her daughter Lois and her husband Victor Robinson of Port Sydney, Ontario. Grandchildren; Jodi MacDonald of Toronto, Dale and Kendall MacDonald and children Sadie and Grace Clarie of Toronto, Neil and Michelle Robinson and children Danielle and Mallory of Toronto, Steven and Anya Robinson and children Joe and Tim of Doha, Qatar, Kent and Kim Robinson of Toronto and sister Baidee Simoneau of Terrace Bay, Ontario. Pre deceased by her parents John and Augusta Vecchies, husband Lawrence "Larry" Macdonald (1968), sons, Gary MacDonald and Bryan MacDonald, brother John Vecchies, sisters, Lorella Vecchies, Jessie Melville, (Arna) Nora Holden and Ailie Bender. Clarie was raised in Sioux Lookout, Ontario where she married and raised her family before they moved to Schumacher, Ontario in 1955. She was a long time employee and retiree of Sears in Timmins, a member of the CWL of St. Alphonses parish in Schumacher, a member of the Porcupine Dante Club and had been an avid curler at the McIntyre Curling Club. Clarie was a resident of Spruce Hill Lodge in South Porcupine for the last 2.5 years. A special thank you to family and friends who made Clarie a part of their life. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Clarie's life will take place on May 14th, 2016 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Timmins with visitation in the church hall at 10 a.m., followed by mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Tisdale Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donation s may be made to Spruce Hill Lodge, 200 Bruce Avenue West, South Porcupine or a charity of choice.
