Colin Macdougald

MacDougald, Colin Archibald, of Room 303, 148 James Street Place, Bracebridge, Ontario. Born at Lot 6 Concession 13 Hibbert Township, County of Perth on August 9th, 1917. He was the son of Allan MacDougald and Almenia Izzard. On January 20th, 1937 he was married to Violet Mildred Quance of Cromarty. They resided in that area until November 15th, 1938 when they moved to Harrington West, Ontario. They moved to Bracebridge Ontario on June 1st, 1961. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and their children. Predeceased by his wife Violet Mildred, sisters Annie E.M. Norris, Janet MacDougald, baby Janet MacDougald, Lovina Christina Salt (Horace), Mary M.A. McLean (Cameron); brothers, Allan MacDougald (Gladys and Una), Josiah John MacDougald (Margaret) and his niece Mary Egan. The family will receive friends at Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel", 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge, Ontario on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street, Mitchell, Ontario on Sunday, June 19th, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The service will be held at Lockhart Funeral Home on Monday, June 20th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church, 45 McMurray Street, Bracebridge, Ontario P1L 2A1 or to the South Muskoka Memorial Foundation, 75 Ann Street, Bracebridge, Ontario, P1L 2E4.
