Smith, Roland Colin, known to everyone as Colin (Former owner of Colin's Automotive, Strathmore) Our hearts are broken with the news of Colin's tragic death as a result of an accident at his home in Strathmore, AB on Saturday evening, March 14th, 2015 at the age of 55. Born September 13, 1959 in Carbonear, NL to Isaac and Lorraine Smith formerly of Bishops Cove, NL and now of Lindsay, ON. He leaves to mourn him,his first love, his wife, Donna James. Colin's daughters Megan and Amy Smith, from his marriage to Linda, are devastated with the loss of their cherished Dad. He was their mentor, their protector, their guide and own personal humourist. Colin loved his family and often would call them at any time of the day, often just to share a joke or a few one-liners with each other. His sister Cathie Turner (Bruce) of Bracebridge, ON, his brothers Larry (Angie) of Bobcaygeon, ON, Robert (Dawn) of Port Perry ON and Danny (Jacquie) of Colborne, ON together with his parents, mourn his untimely death and miss him dearly. He will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and "wannabe" cousins and countless friends, from all across our country. Funeral Arrangements Family and friends are invited to remember Colin at a Celebration of Life gathering at the Victoria Place Property Owners Club House located in Bobcaygeon at 333 Old Surrey Lane on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. followed by the opportunity to visit and reminisce until 3:00 p.m. Colin was the kindest and funniest person you would ever have chanced to meet. Let us remember him always for the love he gave and received, for his affection for his family and close friends and in particular his comedic sense of timing and the laughter he brought into our lives.
