David Donaldson

DONALDSON, David S. (Dave) - Passed away at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in his 87th year. Dave was the beloved husband of Mona Ruth (Kay). Loving father of five boys; David Jr. of Utterson, Fred (Wendy) of Bracebridge, Tom (Nina) of Utterson, Paul (Suzanne) of Bracebridge, and Brian (Gail) of Bracebridge. Cherished grandfather of 17, great-grandfather of 24, and great-great grandfather of 9. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by his parents James and Mabel Donaldson, brothers Jim, Ted (Marie) and Willy, and sisters Ellen Holland (Bud) and Norma Jarvis (Don). Dave worked for many years as a mechanic in Toronto and Bracebridge, then 18 years for the town of Gravenhurst. Dave also had his own construction business for many years in and around Muskoka. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion - Bracebridge, on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 1-4pm. Service Extra Info In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall - Bracebridge on Saturday, April 21 from 1-4pm.
