Diana Roberts

August 16, 1922 — November 25, 2017

1922 - 2017. Diana Vivian Roberts. It is with a mix of great sadness and joyful celebration that we announce the passing of Diana Vivian Roberts (nee Hall). A pillar to many, a dutiful and loving mother to her daughters, Gail (Jim), Victoria (Stephen); a hero to her grandsons Christian (Tamara), Shaun and Michael (Jennifer) and a fine example of a strong, independent and resourceful woman to her grandchildren Hannah, Hayden and Haileigh, captures a life well-lived. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Connie Clark (Peter), and brother-in-law Ian Roberts (Mary-lee). "Nana" Robert's 95 years were filled with service to her adopted communities of Huntsville and Lake of Bays as well as her country (Britain), her loyalty to her immediate family (husband Llewellyn, daughter Victoria and grandson Christian, all predeceased), her love for her brothers John and Tam Hall, loving sister Madge Dickinson (all predeceased), and her five (5) decades of focused and unwavering professionalism and dedication to one of humanity's most noble professions: Nursing. She also held a very special place in her heart for Huntsville District Memorial Hospital, having served as the hospital's Director of Nursing from 1970 to 1987. A celebration of her life is set to take place on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Ambrose Anglican Church in Baysville. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for a donation to be made in her honour to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital or Veteran Care Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital, from where she received excellent care during the last months of her life. Messages of condolence can be offered to the family at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
