Kaye, Donald Girvin January 14, 1927 - March 24, 2012 With great sadness, the family of Don Kaye announces the passing of a loving husband and best friend, father, Poppy, GiPi, brother, brother-in-law & uncle. Don passed away peacefully, at home in his 86th year, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Ruth for 63 wonderful years, loving father of Heather, Donna (Dan) Cole, and Bob (Charmaine). Predeceased infant daughter Sharon. Precious Poppy of Michelle (Dan) Holmes, Jason (Heather) Cole, Matthew (Jess) Kaye, Megan & Jillian Cole, and Jamieson Kaye; and cherished "GiPi" of Avery Holmes. Brother of Shirley & Elaine, brother-in-law of Norma, and Rex (Kay) Bogart. Predeceased by his parents Mary & Norman Kaye and siblings Gord, Beatrice, Norma, Jim & Ken. The family will receive friends at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel", 1 Mary St., Bracebridge, on Wednesday March 28th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9. A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sue Woods officiating. At Don's request cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or South Muskoka Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. His love has made our world a better place.
