SKINNER, Dorothea Emmeline (Dot), retired teacher with the Toronto Board of Education, World War II veteran with the RCAF (WD) and a former draftsperson at Massey Harris, died peacefully at The York Central Hospital - Long Term Care in Richmond Hill on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 96. She was the beloved daughter of Samuel Storry Skinner and Margaret Ethel Skinner (nee McMaster). Dot is survived by her brother Robert Skinner (Ada) of Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, BC and sister Margaret Muriel Langlois (Jim) of North Bay, ON and predeceased by brothers and sisters Anne Walmsley (Cliff), Harold Skinner (Levina), Ethel White (Bill), Jewel Skinner (Hilda) and William Skinner (Hilda). Many nieces and nephews and their families also survive her. Friends were received at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel", 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge (705-645-2257) on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 12 noon until the time of service at Bracebridge United Church, 46 Dominion Street, Bracebridge at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow with the interment of her cremated remains in the family plot at St. Thomas' Cemetery, Bracebridge at a later date.
