Douglas Alexander MacIntosh died peacefully at The Pines in Bracebridge on Tuesday, July 7th, 2015 in his 89th year. Doug lived a long and rich life as a devoted husband to his wife Winnifred. Beloved father of Lillian Agar, Kathleen Kaye, Douglas MacIntosh (Jane), Christine Barkwell (the late Peter), Joan MacIntosh and the late Eileen. Loving grandfather of 18 and several great grandchildren. He cherished his Saskatchewan roots. He is predeceased by his parents Ruby and James. Brother of Jean, Jim and the late Ronnie, Kathleen, Ken, Don and Peggy. A long and successful career at Stelco in Hamilton was enriched by friendship with his many colleagues. Doug was a wood-worker and fisherman, hard - working, determined, loyal and courageous. His family is grateful for his life and appreciate the respect and care he received at the Pines in Bracebridge. Thanks for everything Dad. You are with us forever. A Memorial service will be held at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" on Thursday, July 9th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m..
