Passed away peacefully on Sept. 18th 2022 at the age of 91 at Fairvern Huntsville District Nursing Home. Edna was born in Saint Ann, Jamaica. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Ada Hall. Edna is survived by her niece Marlene Lyn – Cook and Marlene’s son David Myers of Florida. In her teens Edna moved to Britain and graduated as a registered nurse and midwifery. She joined the military and served in the UK and Germany. Edna later migrated to Canada and served as an officer in the Canadian Air Force in Cold Lake, Alberta after subsequently graduated from University of Toronto pursuing a career in public health. Edna’s career was at the District Health Unit. Edna left her home in Bracebridge and resided at Castle Peak for a few years and eventually went to Fairvern Nursing Home in Huntsville. Edna was a long standing member of Bracebridge United Church, member of the Rebekah Lodge and will be missed by her niece, bridge group and her close friends. Interment of cremated remains will be held at Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery, 19 Lilac Lane off Manitoba Street, Bracebridge on October 13th at 1:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Muskoka.
