In the early hours of October 1, 2019, God answered the prayers of Emily May Wood (nee Holton) and called her home while she slept at Nipising Manor, Corbiel. Emily would tell you that she was 100 years, 8 months and 14 days old.

Her older brother John and youngest sister Ruth passed away many years before her.
She is survived by her younger sister Dorothy Jacklin who visited her just six days before her passing.
Her service to the village of Rosseau can be noted in her many lifelong memberships: Anglican Church Women, Womens Institute, Legion Auxilary and organist for 72 years at her beloved Church of The Redeemer Rosseau
Her working career included Secretary-Treasurer for Rosseau Hydro Commission, Real estate sales, Rosseau Post Master, Rosseau Village clerk, Royal bread maker to HRH Prince Andrew and Fergie, and piano teacher for $1 a lesson to offer a partial list.

Nipissing Manor in Corbiel cared well for her in her last five months

When asked about her life accomplishments Emily would simply say that God placed her on earth across from the village church to serve others.
The service to the Church Of The Redeemer Rosseau by Emily and Frank is forever memorialized by the two stained glass windows in the entryway of the church dedicated for their service and crafted by son Peter.
