James "Ernie" Ernest Broughton Died peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Bernice Broughton formerly Johnson (nee Varey) and Gwyneth Broughton (nee Marsh). Loving father of the late David Broughton survived by his daughter in law Ellen. Step-father of Edie (Gary) Lawrence, Joanne (Norm) Miners, and the late Brian Johnson. Grandfather of Kathy (Jirka), Auralee (Melissa), Rob (Rachelle), Shelly (Doug), Amy, Ashley, Angela and Adam. Great grandfather of William, Kristopher, Matthew, Maria, David and Brian. Brother of Jean Courtney. Special friend to Marg Cochrane. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican church on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. The interment tool place Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m at Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery.
