Frances Hartmier

September 13, 1926 — May 29, 2014

Peacefully, in Bracebridge, on May 29, 2014. Frances rejoined the love of her life, the late Lawrence Ranney (February 18, 1985.) Sister of Marjorie, Mary, Gwendolyn and the late Douglas. Loving mother of Richard and Mary Lynn (Peter Elliott). Much loved grandmother of Jordan (Katie), Nathan (Nadia) and Jacqueline (Andrew Willmore). Special great-grandma to Fiona, Brooke and Blake. After WWII, Fran and Lawrie moved to Toronto. One weekend, they were out for a Sunday drive and came upon a village named Beaverton. They spied and fell in love with a bright red Five-to-a-Dollar store and decided to buy it. Frances and Lawrie worked hard together and prospered and Beaverton proved the perfect place to raise a young family. Over the years, they contributed greatly to their community and forged life-long friendships. It was a wonderful life. Fran moved to Bracebridge several years ago to be closer to family; however, Beaverton would always be her home. Family was everything. We will all cherish happy memories of time spent together. Private family internment has occurred. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation. Messages of condolence can be left at www.reynoldsfuneral.com Do not mourn me For I have not left you Look into the eyes of my children And you will find me there.
