McCONNAN, Frances Desire� "Diz" Died peacefully at The Pines Long Term Care Residence in Bracebridge on Saturday, July 28th, 2012 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas McConnan. Loving mother of Sheilah Forward, Margot Dixon, Nola McConnan (John Ellis) and Monica McConnan. Cherished grandmother of Wendy Bennett, Cameron Dixon, Cynthia Nikkari and Alexandra Leitch. Great grandmother of Danielle Bennett, Kendra and Elisha Nikkari. Survived by her nieces Linda Tobin, Kitty Hallings and Jean Pitkin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 12th, 2012 at Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" in Bracebridge from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. The service will take place in the chapel on Monday, August 13th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Browning Hall.
