Gary Spicer

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Gary George Spicer, of Bracebridge. He passed peacefully, at home, on January 2nd, 2022. Gary was the best friend and devoted husband of Jo-Ann. Much loved Dad of Chris (Lindsay) and Kelly. Adored and proud Papa of Preston, Kylie, Chanel and Zack, who meant the world to him. Loving brother of Lynda Rainford (Garth) and favorite uncle of Jennifer and Emily. Predeceased by his son, George in 2003. Gary will be missed by his devoted companion, Chevy.

Gary was happiest surrounded by friends and family, especially at the cottage on Skeleton Lake. Since moving to Bracebridge, in 2018, he was able to spend more time there and whether it was getting together with friends or sitting quietly on the dock, this was his favorite place to be. Gary loved to bbq and having corn roasts. He was an avid storyteller and sitting around bonfires, he entertained us with many of these stories. Gary would lend a hand to whoever needed an extra and he could fix anything with a motor.

Gary's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Gupta and Dr. Whynot, who provided excellent care to him during this time. A very special thank you to Tracey, for your kindness and compassion. We are forever grateful to you.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date.
