Thorel, George Rennie died peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Monday, April 25th, 2011 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Shirley Thorel of Minett. Dear father of Lynne (Randy) Oyagi, Glenn (Lucy), Rae (Judi), Eric (Laurie), Brent (Stephanie) and Kim (Patrick) Dunbrook. Loving grandfather of Olen, Robin, Chris, Maggie, Simon, Luke, Jason, Brennon, Addison, Forrester and Sarah. Brother of Edwin Thorel, Elizabeth McDonald, Cecil Thorel and the late Sidney and Scott. At George's request cremation has taken place. A Memorial gathering of friends will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. at the Minett Community Centre (PRC), with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. As your expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
