Gordon Curlew

Gordon Arthur Curlew, passed away suddenly in his 83rd year on Monday May 18, 2015, at his home in Port Carling, Muskoka. Loving husband of Margaret (Peggy, nee Alexander) of 60 years, proud father of Cathy, Karen, Ian (Michele), Colin (Cathy) and cherished grandfather of Lindsay, Leanne, Karissa, Kaitlin and Courtney. Predeceased by his sister Eleanor (Jim) and will be sadly missed by brother John (Ann) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Toronto on Sep 13, 1932, he graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Forestry in 1955 and embarked on a 32 year teaching career, retiring as department head of biology from Georges Vanier S.S., North York. He spent his retirement at his treasured, self built, home on Henshaw Lake and winters in Fort Myers, Florida. A private memorial will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
