Henning Otto Mueller passed away suddenly on Thursday April 25, 2019 in his 80th year. Henning was born in Karby, Germany on May 9, 1939. He had many adventures in his youth in Germany and we loved to hear those stories. Henning immigrated to Canada in 1960 where he met his wife Ingrid, the love of his life. He worked at Stelco in Hamilton for 17 years as a Millwright and Pipefitter. In 1977 Henning and his family moved to Bracebridge where he worked as a Maintenance Mechanic at Oliver-MacLeod Inc. in Gravenhurst for 17 years. Henning was always there for family and friends with a helping hand. He was talented in fixing any kind of machinery and also had valuable knowledge of many trades. He loved the sport of fishing, tending to his flower and vegetable gardens and taking care of his home. Henning also loved good food and sharing time with his family and friends. Henning was kind, honest, hardworking and honourable and we will miss him very much.
Henning is survived by his beloved wife Ingrid. He is also survived by and was a loving father to daughters Sandy Stewart (John) and Susan Hammond (the late Kim) and a loving Opa to Aaron and Logan Hammond and Steffi and Sam Stewart. Survived by and loving father to Molly, his faithful dog. Henning was one of 10 children. He is survived by and was a loving brother to Meta, Klaus, Elfriede, Otto and Christa and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews in Germany. He was a dear uncle to Marta McIntyre (Steve), Tim Kuehn (Gail), Ron Kuehn (Lynn), Randy Kuehn (Linda) and Brian and Michael Wojcziuk. Henning was preceded in death by his parents Henning and Frida Mueller, son-in-law Kim Hammond, sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Egon Kuehn and brothers-in-law Harry Wojcziuk and Wilfred Kuehn.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and Hospice Muskoka
