On Sunday March 20, 2016, Jack Hill fell asleep peacefully for the last time, making an end to his struggle with pancreatic cancer. Jack was survived by his loving wife Nancy, two children David (Matt) and Tricia (Jeff), his beautiful grandchildren Seth and Brooke, and his two sisters Elaine (Jim) and Evelyn (the late Ronald). Having spent his career in the steel industry, Jack retired 8 years ago as the president of Debro Steel and Wilkinson Steel. Moving from Caledon to retire on the lake in Muskoka, Jack became an active member of the local community. He spent his final days at home overlooking the lake, surrounded by friends and family. Having several months of good health after his diagnosis to plan and consider life, he wanted his last days to be happy ones. He was in no pain and had no regrets and asked that his service be one of happiness, not sorrow. To this end, the family has chosen to set aside a traditional funeral service in favour of a celebration of life and golf tournament to be held on Friday June 10th at Kirrie Glen Golf Club in Bracebridge. Jack loved golf, he loved mixing with his friends and family, and he loved his time living in Muskoka. We can think of no better way to celebrate the time we had with him in our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the cancer charity of your choice. Messages of condolence can be made at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
