Jennifer Gunner

It is with great sadness, that the Gunner family announces the passing of Jennifer Gunner (nee Peers), 74, of Bracebridge. She died at 1:20 am on Monday, January 6th from a short illness at Oakville Hospital. She was born on January 13th, 1939 in Tolworth, England. She married Neil Gunner in 1960, where they lived together in Surrey, England and Mississauga, Ontario before relocating to Bracebridge in 1997. Jennifer was an incredibly hard working mother to her three children: Mark Gunner (wife Virginia Gunner), of Barry's Bay, Ontario; Simone Orton (husband John Orton), of Roanoke, Va., and Russell Gunner (wife Kelly Gunner), of Oakville, Ontario. She is survived by her 4 grand children; Cassandra Johnson (husband Ross Johnson), Joshua Orton, David Gunner and Adam Gunner. Jennifer was an active member of St. Joseph's church and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge. She loved to volunteer in her free time, exercise, travel and spend time with her husband and family. The family will receive friends at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" in Bracebridge on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph's catholic Church on Friday, January 10th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Spring interment St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to St. Joseph's Church or the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
