John Coyne

September 18, 1930 — September 12, 2011

Coyne, John Edward passed away on September 12th, 2011 at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge just 6 days short of his 81st birthday. John battled a lengthy illness and showed grace and courage in his final days. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 37 years, Betty Jean (nee Morra) whom he missed every day, his brother Tom of Brampton and sister Elaine Zwir of Terrace Bay. He is survived by sister Marion Thomsen of London, and brothers Robert (Anne) of British Columbia and Jim (Diane) of Woodstock. Uncle John will be sadly missed by his brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Morra family and his many nieces and nephews. John treasured his family and friendships. Originally from Brampton, Ontario John loved living in Bracebridge. He worked in the construction industry, beginning as a carpenter and spending the majority of his career as a site superintendent. He took great pride in his work. He valued his years and many projects with Andean construction, Whitney Construction and in more recent years Braecon Northern Limited. Our special thanks to Dr. Faizal Bawa for his care and compassion. At the request of John there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Burial at St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made in John's memory to his favourite charity, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
