Joseph Martin O'Donnell Died suddenly in Dnipro, Ukraine on May 24, 2016. He is survived by his wife Deedra and their unborn child; his parents Rob & Jo-Ann O'Donnell and his sisters Tracy Morgan (Eric) and Jodi O'Donnell; his nephew Benjamin and niece Hannah and his grandparents Joseph & Anne O'Donnell and the late Eric & Edna Martin. Loved and remembered by his Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends. Joseph was passionate about traveling and had visited, lived, studied and worked in various countries in Europe during his twenties. Joseph began making music at the age of seven at the Salvation Army Church and continued to be a member of the Salvation Army Band into his teens. Joseph was also a member of the Bracebridge Dixie Land Band, the Bracebridge Youth Ensemble and later went on to making and recording his own music. Throughout his life, Joseph excelled at playing the guitar and trumpet, song writing, and he was fluent in Spanish and French. He touched many lives with his genuine love for people and life. We will remember him as a man who would help anyone in need and someone who dearly loved his family, friends and his town. The family would like to thank everyone who has supported them in many ways throughout this time. Visitation for Joseph will be held at the Salvation Army Community Church in Bracebridge, on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. A service of remembrance will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Saturday, July 2, 2016. at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Bracebridge Sportsplex, where everyone will have an opportunity to share in a video tribute to Joseph. The family also ask that those in attendance, take a moment to share their written memories, which will be part of a "Book of Memories" paying tribute to his life. Donations made to honour Joseph's memory, can be directed to the Canadian Mental Health Association or contributions can be made to a "Go Fund Me" account started to raise funds for his family.
