Joseph Townsend

June 24, 1956 — February 28, 2017

JOSEPH REESE TOWNSEND of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away suddenly after a snowmobile accident on February 28, 2017. Loving husband to Joanne and father to Amanda (Sammy), and Brandon; son of Joseph Townsend Jr. and his late mother Rosemary; brother to Linda Marshall (Ben), Marie Townsend (Wayne Jessop), Mark Townsend (Shara), and the late Lois Townsend, uncle to Morgan and Sydney Townsend. Joe was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1956. He was a gregarious and positive person who loved Muskoka and snowmobiling, not necessarily in that order. His greatest passions, though, were his family and friends, who will hold him in their hearts forever. A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 11, 2017, between 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Patterson Kaye Lodge in Bracebridge. In lieu of flowers donations to the Muskoka Sno-Bombers Club at www.sno-bombers.com, or any local charity of your choice are appreciated.
