Karen Evelyn Boyd passed away peacefully at Andy’s House in Port Carling on November 6, 2023.
Karen was born in Bracebridge on April 9, 1962, to John Dennis Boyd and Evelyn Florence May Boyd. Karen will be greatly missed by her Momma Evelyn Boyd and her siblings James Boyd (Traci), Gregory Boyd and Brenda Boyd, nephews, and nieces John Boyd (Erin), Jennifer French (Kyle), Jason Boyd, Ryan Boyd, Jessilyn Boyd, Johnni Boyd, Jamie Goltz and Alexandra Goltz and great nieces and nephews Alex Boyd, Jack Boyd and Evelyne French.
Karen was a thoughtful person spreading happiness and cheer. She was extremely creative, loved sewing, knitting, and drawing and often had several craft projects on the go. Her love for you showed in the unique gifts she made. We will miss hearing her quick wit and sense of humour and the nicknames she called us by. She really was the "fun aunt" people talk about. She was funny and silly and could always make you laugh. She was also kind and compassionate and cared deeply about how people in her life were doing. She liked gardening, camping, loved purple, was outgoing, and enjoyed traveling to new places with both family and friends. She especially loved celebrating the holidays. Family gatherings will not be the same without her. Karen was amazing and we will miss her very much.
Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home in Bracebridge on Sunday, November 12 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A graveside service will take place on Monday, November 13 at the Langford Cemetery at one p.m. Please join us afterward at the legion to remember Karen’s love for her family and friends.
