Karen Louise Love, RN Born August 27, 1942 died February 24, 2011 suddenly with her children at her side. Proud and devoted mother of Clifford Greg (Andrea) Davidson, Marni (Sam) Bell and Tracy (Aaron Brown) Davidson. Adoring Nana to her grandchildren, Maegan, Melissa, Rhys, Emma, Sloan, Saul and Otto. Daughter of the late Victor Lambert Love and Elizabeth Love (nee Hoult) of Elgin House. Loving sister to Marilyn Clague (Martin) of New York and the late Bruce Love. Sister-in-law of Beverly Love. Loving Aunt to Dixie-Anne, Donald, Jason, Janel, Tom, Scot and Kathryn. Karen grew up at Elgin House loving summers spent working in the kitchen, graduated from Women's College Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1964 and proudly and caringly worked as a nurse in Bracebridge, Toronto and Oshawa. Karen was a devoted mother raising her three children with husband Douglas Davidson for 35 years. Karen lived life to the fullest in Muskoka and was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying canoeing, hiking, and outings with the Muskoka Field Naturalists. Karen was proud of the LOVE family's Muskoka heritage. Karen will be missed by many friends who were involved in the clubs and community organizations she was involved with. Karen's many talents included knitting, sewing, decorating, gardening and cooking. We LOVE you Mom. The family will receive friends at the Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel" 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Followed by Cremation.
