It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our Dad, Kenneth Harold Lusk, at the age of 98, at The Pines Long-Term Care Home. Dad was a loved resident at The Pines and we are thankful for the compassionate staff that cared for him. We are so grateful to have shared so many years with our dear father.
Ken was born March 13, 1924, in Foot's Bay, to parents Charles and Mabel (Green) Lusk and was one of thirteen children. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War as a stoker, Ken married his dearest wife, Hazel (Wolfe) on July 6, 1948. Ken was a supportive and loving father to Kenny, Peter (Joyce), Karen (late Jerry), late Timmy, and Mark (Shellie). Ken was a dedicated conductor on the CP Rail, loved to spend time at the cottage on Lake Joe, and spent many winters in Bradenton, Florida. He had a love for gardening, harvesting firewood in his bush, and hunting. Ken was a playful and loving grandfather (Puff) to 11 grandchildren, followed by 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will take place at Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary Street, Bracebridge, on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 11:00am to 2:00pm, with a funeral service to follow in the Chapel, and interment in the Foot's Bay United Cemetery.
