Kevin Keefe

October 22, 1951 — January 3, 2022

Bracebridge

Dear Kevin passed away, at home in his sleep, on Monday, January 3rd, 2022, from end stage congestive heart failure. We are grateful to his cardiologist Dr. Kang at Georgian Cardiology, in Barrie, to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital staff, and to the Muskoka Paramedics for their excellent care over the past few years. Kevin's wishes were to be cremated and a Mass said in his name.

Kevin was predeceased by a most loved brother, Michael Keefe (Toronto/Port Carling) and by his youngest sister Patricia. He is survived by his spouse, Anna, her daughter Lauren, his brother Terry Keefe (Laima) of Oro-Medonte, their children Michael, Victoria, and Walter, and his sister Maureen Keefe Bestman (Al) in Kingston, and their children Scott and Marc.

Kevin's other long-term relationship was with his work family at Thermoseal Insulation in Utterson, owned by Richard and Doreen Clement. Many thanks to them, their thoughtful staff, his colleagues, and valued customers. We appreciated all of them and their support, as his health declined, allowing him to work from home, to keep his work truck, by helping him go onsite to estimate jobs and by continuing to make him feel part of the team, right up to the end.

I think Kevin will be remembered as a first-class salesman who took a great deal of pride in customer service and quality workmanship. But also, for his kind, generous nature, and comical personality.

What you may not know about Kevin is that he played hockey for the Toronto Marlies, he had a successful food business for over 20 years in Keswick, ON, he was a math whiz and won first place in an all-Ontario school competition, he loved animals - especially Labradors, he lived on a farm growing up, he raced snowmobiles competitively, he designed and built houses, his favourite store was Princess Auto, and he loved to cook and bake.

We loved Kevin and miss him. Our consolation is that he is no longer suffering from infirmity.  Our hope is that he is in loving arms and at peace.

In memory, donations may be made to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, in Bracebridge. Messages of condolence and memories may be shared at www.reynoldsfuneral.com.
