On December 31st, Laura Jean Scott passed away at home peacefully at the age of 83. Born on Bell Island, Newfoundland on July 23rd, 1940, she called Ontario home for the past 60-plus years. She was a loving mother to Chris McLean (Kelly), Orval McLean (Terri Ann), Shelley McLean (Peter), Mike McLean (Roxanne), and Lynn McLean (Charles). She was adored by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to her Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 3rd from 1 pm - 4 pm at the Bracebridge Legion. We will be sharing stories and memories and invite her friends and family to do the same. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a charity of your choice in Laura’s name.
