Laura Sorensen

It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Laura Sorensen on December 19th, 2020 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Gudmund.  Predeceased by her daughter Inge Hansen (Eddy). Loving mother of Anni Hemsworth (Paul) and John Sorensen (Jean). Grandmother to Jennifer (John), Kimberly (Ryan), Sean, Christina (Brad) and Nicholas. She will be missed by her 8 great-grandchildren.

Laura came to Toronto from Denmark in 1953 where she raised her children, before moving to Bracebridge where she worked for the Salvation Army for many years. Most recently she moved to Whitby to be closer to family.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in June.
