Leila Dixon

DIXON, Leila Naomi Who died peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Thursday, December 30, 2010 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late John Dixon. Dear mother of Robert Dixon, Reta Mae Houston and her husband Jay. Loving grandmother of Lynsie Mae Peart (Jay) and Gregory John Houston Survived by her sister Hilda Rawson (the late Cecil), many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Emma McCulley, her siblings; Dorothy Amey (Charles), Viola Baker (Al) and Sadie Burley (Ross). Leila was a life member of the Sandford Womens Institute, the Knox Presbyterian Church Mission, Port Carling and Order of the Eastern Star Lily of the Valley, Chapter 141. The family would like to thank Dr's. Dechert and Phillips for their emotional and loyal support and the staff of South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge for their care and support. Also, the Red Cross and VON especially Martha Pfrumter. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Leila's life will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Port Carling on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial gifts to the Knox Presbyterian Church, Port Carling, South Muskoka Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
