Lorne Crockford

CROCKFORD, Lorne Alexander Passed away at The Pines in Bracebridge, on Friday, May 29, 2015 in his 87th year. Father of Kelly Hewitt (Peter) and Steven Laing (Elizabeth). Grandfather of Kimberly, Tracey, Gregory, Jessica (Andre), Kyle and Katelyn. Great grandfather of Gabriel. Brother of Velma Moul, Arvella Hickinbotham, Helen Lee, Sylvia Best-Robinson, Elwood Crockford and the late June Crockford, Mildred Bell, Laura Mayhew and Aubrey Crockford. Also survived by his special aunt Phyllis Kay-Moore. Lorne was born in Severn Bridge, Ontario. His working career began with Ontario Hydro as a forester, then with Metro Toronto Police as a mounted officer, then in sales with George S. May Consulting and finally with a diamond drilling company in Alberta. Lorne will be missed. A graveside interment service will be held at a later date.
