Malcolm Verth

November 27, 1972 — May 20, 2013

Verth, Malcolm Thomas (1972-2013) Malcolm left us unexpectedly and before his time, on May 20, 2013 in Bracebridge, Ontario. A life well lived and a man much loved, he made the most of his 40 years. A Paris boy and downhill racer at the National Ski Academy, a McMaster graduate who made a pit stop in Seoul, Korea, he settled in the north with Leanne as the Director of Corporate Services of Community Living Parry Sound. An outdoor man who was happiest surrounded by his family, friends and dogs, sharing stories and laughter of fishing, snowmobiling, skiing (snow and water) and cottaging together. He will be dearly missed by his wife Leanne Verth (nee Morrow), his step daughter Maddie, his parents Dr. Tom and Ann Verth, his brother John (Linda Verth), his in laws Bill and Janet Morrow, his sister-in-law Tina Morrow (Tim Kokkas) and his nieces and nephews (Thomas, Kathy, Quinn, Alexi and Ashton). Family and friends will be gathering at Reynolds Funeral Home ‘Turner Chapel', (1 Mary St., Bracebridge) on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and at Bracebridge United Church (46 Dominion St., Bracebridge) from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013. The Celebration of Malcolm's life will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Bracebridge United Church. Reception to follow. In addition, a memorial gathering for Malcolm will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 70 William Street, Paris, Ontario on Saturday June 8th 2013 from 1-4pm. Please come and share your memories of Malcolm. Donations would be appreciated to support Malcolm's passions, of both his work projects and his time walking the trails of Muskoka. Cheques should made payable to Community Living South Muskoka "Trail System Bench Program", a trail currently being developed in Bracebridge. (Community Living South Muskoka - Morrison Meadows, 15 Home Depot Dr., Bracebridge, ON P1L 0A1), or to Community Living Parry Sound "Addie Street Group Home Reconstruction Project", a project Malcolm was deeply involved in. (Community Living Parry Sound, 38 Joseph St., Parry Sound, ON P2A 2G5). Messages of condolence can be made at www.reynoldsfuneral.com
