Marion Boyes

BOYES, Marion Orpha (nee Pretty) of Bracebridge - Passed away peacefully, on Sunday February 20, 2022. She was in her 93rd year. Marion was born in 1929 in Perth, Ontario. She was the daughter of Harry and Mabel Pretty (nee Shelly). Marion's family moved to Bracebridge, in 1944, where she attended Bracebridge High School. Many will remember her from her years working at the A&P. Her favorite activities were knitting, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family.

Marion was the beloved wife of Vernon Boyes, before his passing in 2002. Marion was predeceased by her loving partner Gerald Hodder, in 2016. Cherished mother of Vernon Boyes (Leslie Coleman), Roger Boyes, and Connie Boyes (Heikki Vilu). Loving grandmother of nine (Liisa, Tiina, Derrick, Jamie, Kristen, Michael, Kelly, Amanda and Sean). Proud great grandmother of 10. Sister of Clayton Pretty (Gloria Brown), and Wayne Pickard (Norah). She has many nieces and nephews.

Marion will be remembered and missed by family and friends. A special thank you to the amazing staff at Muskoka Shores Care Community, in Gravenhurst. They are truly caring and compassionate which helped her feel at home for the last two years.

Marion will be cremated and there will be no service at this time. In Marion's memory, donation may be made to the Muskoka Animal Centre and can be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be shared on her Tribute Wall above.
