KOTVA, MARION (nee Craddock) On Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 91, at Castle Peak Retirement Home in Bracebridge. Loving wife of Walter (deceased). Will be missed by her children Mary (George) DeCaire, Catherine (Gerry) Cooper and David (Karen). Proud Grandmother to Corey (Erin) and Jordan (Lianne) DeCaire, Shane (Sherry) Brookes, Laura Brookes, Christopher and Stephen Cooper, Carolyn Kotva (Ryan) and Heather Kotva. Beloved Great Grandmother to Kara Brookes and Brylee Land. Dear sister of Elaine (Stewart) Kell and Colleen (Stanley) Gilpin. Pre-deceased by brother Raymond (Connie) Craddock. Sister-in-law to Casey (Patricia) Kotwa, Edie Kotva and Julie Doherty. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Marion was born in Toronto and started working at Queen's Park at age 16. She was chosen to work at Ontario House in post-war London, England, where she spent 3 very memorable years. Marion held several secretarial positions over the years. The highlight of her working career was the 12 years spent as executive secretary to the Mayor of Etobicoke, Dennis Flynn. Walter's career with the O.P.P. involved many moves, including Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, Cayuga, Bala, and then Toronto. Marion made friends wherever she went. Her fondest memories were always of the 12 years spent in Little Current, where all three children were born. Over the years, Marion loved to travel, play cards and dance. She spent her last days enjoying her retirement home among loving, caring friends and staff. Above all, Marion cherished her family. Although she will be missed, the family celebrates the long, rich life of "Our Marion". Service to be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary St, Bracebridge at 1 p.m. Visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated.
