Marvin George Wilson passed away peacefully and pain-free at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital on October 6, 2024, at the age of 64.
He leaves behind to mourn; his father Aubrey Sr., daughter Katelin (Matt), brother Harry (Tricia), Niece Avery, and granddaughter Penelope. He is predeceased by his mother Myrna and younger brother Aubrey Jr. Marvin will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, friends, and family.
Marvin spent his life in Port Carling working as a carpenter. He was an active member of the Port Carling Legion Branch 529, where he was a constant at Friday night darts and known as the “Egg Benny” man for Sunday breakfast.
In his younger years, Marvin enjoyed playing basketball, and football, especially the annual Turkey Bowl held on Thanksgiving weekend in Port Carling. Marvin had an enormous heart and would give you the shirt off his back if he could. He will be greatly missed.
A joint Celebration of life for Marvin and Aubrey Jr. will be held at the Port Carling Legion on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm. A private family burial will take place afterward.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Port Carling Legion, Branch 529, or to the Cancer Society.
