Mavis Welcher

Welcher, Mavis Dorean- Mavis Welcher, born September 24, 1931, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Mother's Day, Sunday May 12, 2019 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge. She was predeceased in 2012 by her beloved husband of 62 years, William Welcher. Cherished mother of Wayne Welcher (Valerie) of Bracebridge and Debbie McCaig of Guelph. Mavis was a loving grandmother to Ryan Welcher (Jessica) and Leah Jones (Neil) of Bracebridge and; Jacob McCaig and Nigel McCaig of Guelph. Dear G. Gramma to Oliver Moore, Aidan Jones, Eve Welcher and William Welcher. Mavis was feisty, funny - always laughing - and unconditionally loving to many others beyond her own family. She loved having people around her and was quick to offer a word of advice, a meal or a warm bed. Mavis's family appreciates the wonderful care that she received from the staff at Muskoka Shores in Gravenhurst. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
