Max Beaumont

BEAUMONT, Max Mawdsley Max died suddenly at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at age 91. Beloved husband of Sandy (nee Gliddon) of Bracebridge. Loving father of Shawn (Sandra), Daryl (Lucille), Monica and Tim (Amanda) . He is the proud grandfather of Katelynn, Jacob, Cassie, Kristina, Mason. Predeceased by his siblings Barbara and Edgar. Max was a farmer, farming the land that his grandparents settled on in the late 1800. His farming background found him involved in many farming organizations. He ascended to become president of the Crop Improvement Association, The Parry Sound / Muskoka Cattleman's Association and the Agricultural Association. As a local businessman, he was also involved in the Probus Club. Max was devoted to his church and was a very active, lifelong member of St. Thomas' Anglican Church in Bracebridge. Max was also a very active and supportive member of the Masonic Lodge. He served as Past Master of Muskoka Lodge #360, Past President of Muskoka Scottish Rite and Past President of The Muskoka Shrine Club. His service to Bracebridge and surrounding communities will be remembered by so many. The family will receive friends at Reynolds Funeral Home ‘Turner Chapel', on Sunday, August, 20, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The members of the Masonic Lodge will hold a service of remembrance at 6:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at the St. Thomas' Anglican Church on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Thomas' Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to support St. Thomas' Anglican Church or Shriners Hospitals for Sick Children would be appreciated.
