MICHELLE ANSTIS On May 23rd, 2013, just one day shy of her 48th birthday, Michelle Anstis (nee Medley)passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband David Anstis and her mother Donna Medley and the loving spirit of her father Ken Medley who passed away just three months earlier. She was blessed with a 22 year marriage to her soul mate David and with two beautiful daughters, Madeleine and Nicole. She is survived by two sisters, Jenny Barnes and her husband Peter and their daughter Emma and Kendra Williamson and her husband Doug and their children Abby and Thomas. Michelle enjoyed the love of a warm and caring extended family. Michelle was born and raised in the Town of Bracebridge where she attended Bracebridge Public School, Muskoka Falls Public School and Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School and enjoyed many fond memories of her childhood adventures in Muskoka. She attended Mohawk College for her post secondary education and built a twenty - four year career with Manulife Financial where she met her "Manumate" David. Michelle was a strong competitor as an individual figure skater and precision team skater and as a home run hitter playing in the Manulife co-ed slow pitch league. Michelle was a beautiful and strong spirited individual who battled cancer for five years and never let it define who she was. Michelle will be greatly missed by her friends and family. The family is very thankful for the care provided to Michelle by the nurses, doctors and staff at the cancer and palliative care centres at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.
