NELSON JOHN KENNEDY "NELS" Retired Town Bylaw Officer Former Town Police Officer Volunteer Firefighter 17 years Bracebridge Bears Hockey Player Passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 24th, 2011 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge in his 77th year. Dearly loved husband of Betty (nee Ross) for 59 years. Nels will be missed by his brother Michael Kennedy of Port Severn & sisters-in-law Evelyn Temeles of Pittsburgh, PA, Shirley Muir of Bracebridge & Marjorie Ross of Bradford. His voice will also be missed by his many nieces & nephews & his long time friends. Pre-deceased by his sister-in-law Alice Kennedy & brothers-in-law Roy Temeles, Robert Muir and James Ross. Nels loved talking to people, sharing funny stories & selling fund raising tickets for local charities. Friends will be received at Reynolds Funeral Home "Turner Chapel, Bracebridge, Ontario on Monday, March 28th, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 118 McMurray St., Bracebridge on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. As your expression of sympathy memorial gifts to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
