Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the age of 93.

Beloved son of the late Angus and Florence Cameron. Loving father of Jeff Cameron (Janet). Proud Grandfather of 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons. Dear brother of Barbara Anne Saunders (Roger) and predeceased by Vernon Cameron, Charlie Cameron (late Barbara) and Marlene Waite (late Geoffrey). Remembered by Muriel Bosman, Alison Ayers (Michael), Cameron Waite (Kathie), Erin Vandermere (Mark), Robyn Saunders (Barrett Warder) and their families.

Owen was a bricklayer for many years, in the late 1950's and early 1960's he raced hydroplane boats and when he was in his late 30's he got his pilot license and enjoyed flying Cessna 150's. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

A special acknowledgement to the staff at the SAH on floors 3C and 3B for the exceptional care that Owen received. At Owen's request there will not be a funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at the Port Carling Legion, on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1-4 pm. Memorial contributions (payable online or by cheque) to the Alzheimer Society, Humane Society or to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
