AUDETT, PAMELA C. (Owner/Operator of McDonald's Restaurants of Bracebridge and Gravenhurst from 1984 - 2006) Died peacefully at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge on Friday, June 13th, 2008, after a 25 year battle with brain tumors, at the age of 60. Much loved wife of Stephen of Bracebridge. Daughter of Jack and Florence Wilkes of Ottawa, Sister to Sandy Wilkes of Ottawa, Stephen Wilkes of Ottawa and Ron Wilkes of Deep River. Aunt of Melissa, Jessica, Kaitlan, Kyle and Kirk Wilkes. Predeceased by her parents in-law Joseph (Bud) and Dorothea Audett. Pam was a graduate of Carlton University in Ottawa. Her first job was with the E.B. Eddy Co. in Ottawa. From there she worked as an Assistant to the Deputy Minister, Federal Department of Urban Affairs. She later joined McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Ltd. first as an Assistant to the Treasurer and was subsequently promoted to the position of Coordinator of Corporate Purchasing for McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Ltd., before becoming an Owner/Operator of McDonald's Restaurants of Bracebridge and Gravenhurstwith her husband in 1984. Pam loved to travel with Steve, especially enjoying their trips to France. Her infectious laugh, love of animals and joyful spirit will long be remembered by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place according to her wishes. Also in accordance with Pam's wishes there will be a gathering to celebrate her life spirit and courage on Saturday, June 21st, 2008 at The Turner Centre, 120 Taylor Rd., Bracebridge from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts to the Pencer Brain Tumor Centre at Princess Margaret Hospital, 610 University Ave., Toronto M5G 2M9 or the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation, 75 Ann St., Bracebridge P1L 2E4 would be welcomed.
